Viewing my digital portfolio you can see that I have displayed a range of different skills and techniques to create the work displayed. It also shows in depth research of artists/designers who I find highly influential. The digital development sheets show the use of mixed media to generate imagination of visuals within my design.
It also shows how I can create highly effective research sheets for example; looking at stacking methods and combining colour psychology into design to create the most effective designs as possible.
Also displayed is how I can create detailed layout development sheets combined with the use of mixed media to get an idea of how the design would look with visuals applied, I have also displayed how I incorporated some traditional drawings along with digital work, giving variety. I have then combined my traditional drawing and printing methods with my artist/designer replication sheets just to compare the two different outcomes. Thought has also been given to what different abstract or literal messages could be given off by the two different methods. Finally there are four examples of my final outcomes, all for different projects as you can see I feel that I am able to create innovative designs with flair which I feel are excellent at catching the viewer’s attention and are finished to a very high standard.
 HYPERLINK "http://www.shu.ac.uk/prospectus/course/694/entry/" Entry Requirements
The course emphasises the production of new and memorable ideas, led by informed and independent design thinking. I would relish the chance to work with a skilled team of tutors and design industry practitioners. Their experience and expertise would provide me with the relevant and practical understanding of the industry.
Another of the aspects of the course is being given the opportunity to take part in a work placement.
I am willing to take risks when creating my designs in the hope of developing innovative pieces.

Away from design I’m a pretty active and sporty type of guy, heavily into the whole surfing and skateboarding culture. Many of my weekends can be spent clad in neoprene waiting for that next wave.
A fellow surfer David Carson is one of my main influences with his editorial designs found in the Transworld Surf Magazine, also Mario Hugo for his brilliant typographic designs.
